        VC-4-CORE

Crestron Virtual Control Server Software - Core Perpetual License for up to 5 Rooms

        Discontinued

Offers a centralized server‑based alternative to individual hardware‑based control systems in every room. Provides a virtual control system for each room over a network. Perpetual licensing allows for rooms to be easily added to a core license.

Crestron® Virtual Control (VC-4 series) is a server‑based control platform for enterprise applications that can be used in place of hardware‑based Crestron control systems. The platform runs programs to control multiple rooms over the network from a single centralized location.

Many installed devices can be controlled directly via Ethernet, and those that require a serial, IR, or other hardware interface can be integrated via decentralized control ports on a DM NVX® encoder/decoder, DM® transmitter or receiver, CEN‑CI3 series interface, or the CEN-IO wired and wireless series of I/O modules. Wireless Crestron devices may also be integrated via an infiNET EX® wireless gateway.

Crestron Virtual Control also allows organizations to leverage robust redundancy and security measures for increased reliability. For large buildings, Crestron Virtual Control streamlines deployment and maintenance by allowing a single program to be developed and deployed quickly across multiple rooms. Cloud‑based deployment, management, and monitoring are available using the XiO Cloud® service.

Crestron Virtual Control is sold through Authorized Crestron Dealers, and requires installation on a customer‑supplied server running the Red Hat Enterprise Linux® or CentOS® server operating systems.

        Licensing
The perpetual licensing model is similar to a traditional hardware purchase model: purchase a specified number of room licenses, and the Crestron Virtual Control installation will run the number of rooms purchased.1

NOTE: Use the following form to add perpetual licenses to your XiO Cloud service account.

        • To start with perpetual licensing, purchase a VC‑4‑CORE license, which provides the Crestron Virtual Control software, five rooms, and software maintenance services for a 12‑month period.
        • Add more rooms by purchasing additional room licenses (VC‑4‑ROOM‑1‑49, VC‑4‑ROOM‑50‑99, and VC‑4‑ROOM‑100+). The different licenses correlate with the size of your Crestron Virtual Control installation.
        • To ensure that your Crestron Virtual Control installation receives continuous software updates after 12 months and to obtain access to higher support tiers, Crestron recommends purchasing the add-on software maintenance licenses (VC‑4‑MAINT‑1YR, VC‑4‑MAINT‑2YR, or VC‑4‑MAINT‑3YR). The software maintenance schedule can be viewed here.

Crestron also offers subscription licenses for Crestron Virtual Control (VC‑4‑ROOM‑1YR, VC‑4‑ROOM‑2YR, VC‑4‑ROOM‑3YR, and VC‑4‑ROOM‑5YR) that include software maintenance services and advanced support for the chosen subscription period.
